What a nice, interesting, and relaxing day. We began with breakfast, then our liturgy and studies. Then we were on our way to the Rothschild Gardens, which were absolutely beautiful. Of course, it wasn't simply pretty - it holds significance to the Jewish people. It represents the investment into Eretz Israel.

The First Aliyah Museum told us about the struggles and hardships the Jewish people went through to make it to Israel. It was a little difficult to navigate the mostly Hebrew exhibits, but I still managed to learn a few things. They also had a dress-up room with authentic immigrant clothing. That was fun.

We had the BEST falafel for lunch! I don't think I'll be able to get that again in USA. After eating, we shopped in the Carmel area until it was time for our winery tour/tasting. The Carmel Winery is centuries old (although it was also used thousands of years ago), and is the largest wine maker in the country. I had the chance to learn about the socioeconomic importance of the wine industry in Israel, and some basic science behind the winemaking process. We also sampled Riesling, Petite Sirah, and Moscato.

The remainder of the evening was spent relaxing at the hostile and packing up - headed to Akko (Northern Coast) at 7AM tomorrow!
